LUCKNOW: Engineering students of the UP Technical University
will now be able to pursue Indian Institute of Technology courses along with
their curriculum. The facilities will be available in their respective
institutes. Also, students can pursue these courses from home. Under the MHRD's
'Talk to a Teacher' program, UPTU on Tuesday signed MoU with IIT-Bombay. The
tie-up will benefit 4 lakh students in 700 engineering colleges across UP.UPTU
colleges will be connected to IIT-B's 'Spoken Tutorial' portal where they can
study online courses.IIT-B officials, students will also be able to download
audio-visual lectures on their smartphones in Hindi, English and other regional
languages. The portal offers e-content in 387 Hindi and 620 English topics.
UPTU officials said the tie-up will benefit students and help raise academic
standards.
